Buying an American car hasn’t always meant that you were purchasing an American-made car. Popular vehicles like the Ford Fiesta have been built in Mexico for years, but now American University’s Kogod “Made In America” Index looks to set the record straight.

The survey looks at a wide variety of figures to pinpoint just how much American DNA our cars have. Rather unsurprisingly, the Ford F-Series and Chevy Corvette came out on top in 2014, indexing a score of 87.5. General Motors filled out the next slots with popular entries like the Buick Enclave, Cadillac CTS, and Chevrolet Impala.

The 2014 Honda Odyssey, Ridgeline, and Crosstour tied for 11th spot on the chart, and cemented the brand’s place as the top foreign manufacturer with American production roots. Follow this link to see where your current car, or next car, ranks on the list.
