The Knicks haven't exactly kept it a secret that they're interested in making Steve Kerr their next head coach under Phil Jackson. And according to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Knicks are looking to a complete a deal that would make Kerr their coach as soon as the completion of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Kerr and Jackson reportedly met twice over the weekend to discuss the position and talks look set to continue in the coming days and weeks. Apparently, the thought behind the timing of the hiring is that it would lessen the damage to TNT with regards to losing their top analyst. Golden State is also in the running to land Kerr should the Warriors part ways with Mark Jackson, who ironically has also been linked to the Knicks' job. Don't you just love the NBA?
