Jon Jones held a master class tonight against Glover Teixeira at UFC 172. For nearly the entire match, Jones contained Teixeira's offense while doling out a bevy of elbows, jabs and hooks which eventually led to a nasty cut above Glover's right eye. Going into the fight, Jones admitted that the plan was to keep Teixeira at a distance and utilize his reach advantage. However, once Bones realized that his opponent would wind up on his punches, Jon closed the gap between them and effectively landed one shot after another. Whether it was Jones' gameplan or the blood spewing all over his face, Teixeira could never really get any momentum other than getting in an effective punch here and there.
Following the fight, just as the winner was being announced, Jones threw on his shirt which had "And Still Champion" emblazoned on the front. Eventually, Bruce Buffer said the exact same phrase.
