The Heat Are So Spiteful That They Lost to the Hawks So the Knicks Wouldn't Make the Playoffs

With the Hawks' win, New York will sit out the playoffs this year after a disappointing season.

Not only is the Eastern Conference weak, but it's also very petty. Brooklyn lost to the Hawks to get back at the Knicks for blowing them out last month. Miami just doesn't like the Knicks either, so it also decided to be petty and lose to the Hawks.

Of course, New York needed Atlanta to lose to sneak into the eighth seed. That didn't happen, and Miami's loss to the Hawks effectively eliminates New York from playoff contention.

So the Knicks' season ends early despite its affiliation with Lake City Jesus Phil Jackson. Plus, they don't even have the first-round draft pick since they lost it for the Carmelo Anthony trade. The Knicks, Jackson, Anthony, J.R. Smith, and the rest of the disappointing crew are just going to have to stay mad at themselves along with their fans:

The irony of it all Is the knicks virtually gave up a lottery pick in this year's draft plus prospects for melo. But melo might walk #knicks
Hey #knicks fans how did that Carmelo trade work out ????? Thanks for the lottery pick
Post game strong alcoholic beverages RT @nyknicks: Who is your #Knicks MVP this season?
On the bright side #Knicks fans, now you won't have to try to convince yourselves that you'd actually have a chance in a first round series.
HATE TO SEE MY #Knicks GO LIKE THIS SMDH, AND WE MIGHT LOSE @carmeloanthony TO BE REAL I HOPE HE STAY I FEEL MELO CAN BRING THE CITY A CHIP.
Spike Lee gonna be waiting in the #Knicks locker room like.. pic.twitter.com/CEJUgdJyUS
