In a career which included six NBA championships, 13 All-Star Game selections and one NBA MVP trophy (1957), Bob Cousy decided after winning a title in 1963 that his playing days with the Boston Celtics were over. While only in his mid-30s at the time, Cousy decided to hang it up on a high note which is the best way to leave the game. Cousy went on to coach Boston College for six years before getting that itch once again. Cooz eventually scratched during the 1969-70 season when he appeared as a player/coach for the Cincinnati Royals for seven games.
