A 10-Year-Old Boy Steals His Mom's Car to Try and Get Out of Going to School (Video)

A 10-year-old boy from Miami Gardens, Fla. tried to get out of going to school this week by stealing his mom's car.

Earlier this week, a 10-year-old boy from Miami Gardens, Fla. decided that he didn't want to go to school. So he tried everything to get out of it. He yelled at his mom and his grandmother. He threw a bunch of rocks and bricks at them. And then, in one last desperate attempt to get out of school, he took his mother's car keys...and stole her car.

Unfortunately—for the boy, at least—he couldn't see over the steering wheel, which made it nearly impossible for him to get very far. So police were able to apprehend him a short distance from his home. And while he did get out of going to school, he didn't get to do what he wanted to do that day. Instead, he spent his morning sitting with police and talking about what he had done.

The action didn't stop there, either. When a local news reporter stopped by the boy's house to ask his family about the incident, one of his female family members came to the door and punched her in the face. And the family member might end up getting into big trouble for doing it, too. So all in all, it was an eventful—and bad, very bad—day for the 10-year-old boy and his entire family. He probably should have just gone to school, eh?

Watch the video above to hear more about both the boy and his family member who punched the reporter in the face.
