Retro certainly took a strong hold of the auto industry in the last two decades. It started at first with increased inclusion of elements that recalled a given brand's iconic vehicles. That tactic was so effective at garnering instant credibility and love for a new car that straight-up retro soon became the order of the day.
Some of these cars, like the trio of American muscle cars known as the Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, and Dodge Challenger, hit all the right notes, look great, and sell well.
