Earlier today, the Panthers released their longtime wide receiver Steve Smith and made him a free agent. And he is not happy about it. He grew to love living and playing in the Charlotte community and can't imagine having to sign with another NFL team this offseason.

However, Smith isn't retiring. He's going to sign with another team and give them all that he's got. And if that team just so happens to play the Panthers at some point in the future? Well, he's already promising a show.

"They're going to get the best, in-shape 35-year-old guy that they can get," he said. "And if that happens to run through Bank of America Stadium, put your goggles on because there is going to be blood and guts everywhere."

Yikes! Can someone in the Panthers' division please, please, please sign Smith?! We're dying to see what would happen if he had to face Carolina not once, but twice next season.
