The 2014 NCAA Tournament has been filled with upsets. From No. 11 Dayton knocking off No. 6 Ohio State in the very first game of the tournament to No. 12 North Dakota State getting the best of No. 5 Oklahoma, there have been more than a few Cinderella teams in this year's March Madness bracket. But no upset was bigger than the one that took place on Friday afternoon when No. 14 Mercer beat No. 3 Duke. Led by a starting lineup that features five seniors, the Bears hung with the Blue Devils for the entire game and then managed to pull away from them at the end to earn a well-deserved victory and send Duke home.
Many Duke fans were (obviously!) not happy about this. From former players like Christian Laettner to the Cameron Crazies, Duke fans showed off their best struggle faces after the loss and took it really hard. The thought was that Jabari Parker was going to bring Duke to the promised land this season before setting sail for the 2014 NBA Draft. But now, Parker will likely leave for the NBA without a single NCAA Tournament victory to his name. And his college career will be "incomplete," which is how he described it shortly after the loss to Mercer.
Duke fans aren't the only ones hurting right now, though. Over the course of the last seven days, a bunch of other sports-related people have suffered hardships, too. From players who have sustained devastating injuries to an NFL owner who got caught driving under the influence, these are the 10 Sports People Who Had a Worse Week Than You.
