Now why the hell would anyone want to willing be involved in a Knicks organization in shambles? That's a legit question that came to mind when it was reported they were trying to nab Phil Jackson. Well, Jackson may be the only one with a legitimate answer to that question.
A source told ESPN's Stephen A. Smith that Jackson is leaning toward becoming the Knicks' president of basketball operations, which should give him complete control over all basketball-related matters.
Again, Jackson's official decision comes next week. If he does take the job, hopefully he doesn't come into it thinking about trumping the orgazination's success from last decade. That's a pretty low bar to hurdle.
