It has been a tough season for O.J. Mayo. After signing a nice three-year, $24 million contract with the Milwaukee Bucks this past summer, Mayo has seen his team and personal stats take a nosedive. At 12-49, the Bucks have the worst record in the NBA and O.J. isn't helping them get out of the cellar by posting the lowest field goal percentage of his career (40.2) and the lowest points per game average (12.1) since his third year in the league. While some may see this play as Mayo overreacting to a hard screen set by the Pelicans' Greg Stiemsma, this reaction by Mayo could easily be the result of weeks upon weeks of frustration that finally boiled over.

Since the punch (or forearm) to the throat of Stiemsma, Mayo has expressed remorse for his actions, saying, "I reacted the wrong way and handled it for sure the wrong way." Mayo added, "It's definitely the wrong way to conduct yourself. I've got to be better and I will be better."
