Nissan is very good at making concept cars, but the company has taken their pioneering spirit to testing a new type of sales concept in one of their UK dealerships – dubbed the Nissan New Retail Concept.

The idea should be quite familiar to visitors of the Apple Store. Nissan’s New Retail Concept gets rid of the offices, cubicles, and desks that normally inhabit the interior of a car dealership. Instead, Nissan provides salespeople equipped with mobile devices to assist in the car-buying process. It takes some of the fear out of heading to the backroom to finalize the paperwork, and the London-based dealership that has been testing the system also claims it has increased sales.

Nissan’s concept will be tested further in Europe, before being broadened to the US and Asia.
