Anybody who was waiting almost a decade for the Lakers to miss the playoffs again will finally get their wish this season judging by the way Los Angeles has been playing. But enjoy this season, because when Kobe Bryant comes back in full force next season: IT'S. ABOUT. TO GO. DOWN. This is according to Bryant.
The Black Mamba vowed to strike again in an interview with Power 106's Jeff G. the Sports Dude Bryant gave him this epic quote when asked about his two-year deal with the Lakers and what it means to the fans:
This year, we all know it’s been a real tough year for us right? So what I’d like everybody to do is to really just sit back and just absorb this year. Take it all in. Sit back and watch and listen and hear all the hate that’s being thrown at us and remember every person that’s kicking you when you’re down because next year it ain’t gunna be this way.
Bryant is about to come through for the first 10 games of the season and put up an easy 50 points in each one. He'll then take a mysterious sabbatical for about 40 games, during which Los Angeles will slowly slip into ninth place in the conference.
Bryant will then return cloaked in a golden aura in an away game against the still-struggling Knicks. He'll put up 60 points against New York and every consequent game en route to an NBA Finals victory. Bryant will then be known as "The Kobe Bryant" in order to separate himself from mortals.
