Teams: Detroit Lions vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Result: 58-37, Eagles
MVPs: Don Majkowski, Rodney Peete, Fred Barnett
Date: 12/30/1995

On a day when Barry Sanders was held to just 10 rushes and 40 yards, you had to figure that it wasn't going to end well for the Detroit Lions. Losing 58-37, the Lions fell in the NFC Wild Card game to the Philadelphia Eagles, as bad weather and poor performance kept Detroit from even making the game competitive. Indeed, four interceptions from starting quarterback Scott Mitchell prompted his exit from the game, while an efficient Philly offense led by Rodney Peete gave the Eagles a 51-7 lead in the third quarter. From there, Detroit scored garbage TDs. The final score doesn't reflect how much of a blowout this game truly was.
