Carmelo Anthony Had to Borrow a Teammate's Headband at the End of the Knicks/76ers Game Last Night

Yuck.

The Knicks almost did the most Knicks thing imaginable last night.

With about five minutes to go in their game against the 76ers, the Knicks were leading by 17 points and appeared to be headed towards an easy victory. So Mike Woodson decided to take the team's starters out and let a handful of bench players finish the contest. But that ended up backfiring on him pretty quickly, as the Sixers went on a 16-1 run and, with less than a minute to go, it was a ballgame again.

When things got tight, Woodson was forced to put his starters back into the game to finish the Sixers off. But when he did, Carmelo Anthony quickly realized that there was a problem. He had already thrown out the headband he had worn during the first three quarters of the game. And since he apparently can't play without a headband, he was forced to borrow one from one of his teammates:

To make matters even worse, Touré Murry had actually logged four minutes of action in the game and used the headband. So…yeah. Yuck.

Fortunately, the Knicks got a 93-92 win and avoided suffering a complete meltdown. But something tells us it was not the way Carmelo envisioned the end of last night's game going.
