Hillclimb competitions should be the standard for revealing any new car, especially if it’s the new 2015 NSX. Honda is rolling out a prototype to go on display at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, along with a 1989 3.0L example once driven by Ayrton Senna, and a 2005 3.2L model. All three will attack Goodwood’s iconic hillclimb.
In case you forgot about the Seinfeld-approved 2015 NSX, here’s a refresher. The upcoming car will feature a mid-mounted twin-turbo V6 mated to Honda’s Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive system (SH-AWD). The system uses three electrical motors to vector torque between the front and rear wheels: two motors drive the front, while the V6 pairs with the other electric motor to drive the rear wheels. Hybrids sure have come a long way.
