Twitter Is Trying Really Hard to Figure Out Why Shaun White Didn't Win a Medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics

People aren't taking this very well.

As we told you earlier this afternoon, Shaun White did not win a medal in the halfpipe event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. He finished in fourth in the halfpipe and missed out on the chance to win his third consecutive gold medal in the event. We haven't gotten to see White's performance yet—it'll air later tonight on NBC—but all indications are that White just wasn't as good as the three snowboarders who finished ahead of him.

There are a lot of people on Twitter who aren't willing to accept that as the reason for White's loss, though. There are lots and lots of people who think that White's decision to cut his signature hair off back in 2012 had something to do with it:

There are others who are blaming communism:

There are some people wondering if there is some kind of conspiracy at play:

And these people even found a way to pin White's loss on President Obama, because, you know, everything is Obama's fault, right?

But the fact of the matter is that this is why White is going to leave Sochi without a medal around his neck:

Sad but true. Sorry, guys, but you're just going to have to deal with it.
