Attack helicopters are cool and all, but compared to other aircraft they're pretty slow. That's why Sikorski has been working on a tri-rotor helicopter since 1973. Now, it's finally getting close to being done. The X2 prototype managed to get up to 300 mph in testing.
Now a production version, called S-97 Raider is about to start being sold to the US military and eventually to civilians. Even though the civilian version won't have missiles and guns, we still think it's going to be the coolest way to get around for the rich and famous.
