For Tony Parker, the NBA All-Star break didn't provide much of a break. He didn't play a ton during the 2014 NBA All-Star Game. But because he was in New Orleans for the festivities, he didn't get to shut himself down for a few days. And a result, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich just ruled him out "for the foreseeable future" due to "a variety of maladies."
While Pop refused to go into detail—or provide a definition for the word "maladies" (FYI, it's defined as "a disease or ailment")—he did reveal that Parker has been banged up for most of the season with a bunch of minor injuries. And he wants him to heal before he starts playing again.
"He doesn't have a pulled hamstring or anything," he said, "but he's got a lot of little things."
So for now, Parker won't be playing for the Spurs. And when he'll return is really anyone's guess. But we wouldn't expect to see him back for at least a couple of weeks.
