If Los Angeles Lakers fans were wondering if it could get any worse for their team, the answer is "yes." In just his third game back, Steve Nash had to leave today's game against the Chicago Bulls with nerve irritation in his left leg. The injury occurred after Nash was hit in the same spot where he fractured his leg in 2012. Check it out in the video above.

Nash will be reevaluated tomorrow and we hope for the best. But Lakers fans, here's one bit of information coming from ESPN's Arash Markazi you may want to keep in mind. "If he plays in fewer than 10 and retires for medical reasons the Lakers could get his salary off books next year," Markazi says. Look, like anyone else, we want to see Nash out there performing like he was before he went down with this injury, but this may be something the organization would want to keep in mind as they continue to plan for the future.
