Did Paul George get a girl who used to work as a stripper in Miami pregnant last year? And did he offer her $1 million to get an abortion once he found out that she was pregnant? Those are the two questions that have been hanging over the Pacers guard's head this week.

A report that appeared on Jocks and Stiletto Jill on Wednesday indicated that George did get a stripper named "Daniela" who used to work at Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami pregnant sometime last year. The site posted several photos of Daniela sporting a baby bump. But that wasn't all that they revealed. The site also reported that George allegedly offered to pay Daniela $1 million to "not move forward with the pregnancy." And in addition to that scandalous tidbit, they pointed out that George is currently dating Callie Rivers, the daughter of Clippers head coach Doc Rivers. So as you would expect, people have been having a field day on Twitter talking about the news:

If Paul George really got that stripper pregnant she has won the lotto.

But are the rumors actually true? Well, as it turns out, maybe. It sounds like George is still trying to figure out exactly what's going on. But he released a statement to TMZ Sports late last night and, in that statement, he seemed to confirm that the news about Daniela being pregnant with his child could be true. And if it is, he said he's going to step up and help raise the child.

"If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities," he said in the statement. "This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy."

And as for that ugly rumor about George reportedly asking Daniela to terminate her pregnancy in exchange for $1 million? A spokesman for the NBA All-Star told TMZ Sports that it's not true.

"There is no truth to the rumors that Paul offered money for [Daniela] not to have the child," the spokesman said.

That's good to hear. But why does it feel like baby mama drama is at an all-time high this year when it comes to athletes? First Dwyane Wade. Then Arian Foster. And now Paul George. And it's only February! Yikes.
