A short while ago, Metta World Peace stunned New York Knicks fans with the following tweet:

Thank NYC for everything. Thanks for having me I will always be grateful... My agent is working on a buyout. No disrespect to the city Luv U

Now, forgive us for laughing it off at first, thinking "oh, this is Metta being Metta," but then World Peace posted another tweet:

My agent just informed me this release could happen any hr now. I just want to say "Thanks for everything"

Say it ain't so, Metta! While we can't directly pinpoint what exactly spurned this action by World Peace, his brother Daniel had a couple of things to say through his own account.

I'm more disappointed that Ron didn't get a chance. No knock but some players didn't play the mins deserved. I know Ron could've helped.
Lakers org was never this way. Class personified. It was a family atmosphere.

And it looks like the Knicks aren't only looking to buyout World Peace.

League source confirms that Knicks are working on buyouts with both Metta World Peace and Beno Udrih. @MettaWorldPeace first reported.
