Mario Balotelli in Tears as Racist Chants Break Out During a Soccer Match (Updated)

It's a terrible scene.

A lot of people aren't big on Mario Balotelli, which is fine. This, however, is disgraceful. During AC Milan's losing effort against Napoli, Balotelli was forced to hear racial insults hurled at him from the opposing fans, according to a since deleted tweet from Serie A Live. The striker was reduced to tears in this heartbreaking scene.

This is the latest such black eye for the sport. Balotelli endured similar racial taunts in a game last year against Roma.

UPDATE: It turns out the racist chants didn't actually occur. The reaction seen above is Balotelli in tears after getting subbed out. ""We are players and there are times when we express ourselves that way," said Manager Clarence Seedorf. "I see nothing wrong or abnormal in that. I experienced it at times too." He said nothing about there being any sort of racism at the game.

Bleacher Report notes that it's been a pretty emotional week for the star. Balotelli admitted he was the father of ex-girlfriend Raffaella Fico's child on Twitter Wednesday.
