London Subway Facing Huge Delays Due to Worker Strike

In protest of upcoming job cuts.

In protest of upcoming job cuts, the London subway unions, known as the London Underground or The Tube, walked off the job on Tuesday night to start a 48-hour strike. There seems to be a major disconnect between the unions and the government, as The Epoch Times states that mayor Boris Johnson wants to continue talks, while the unions say the mayor refuses to meet. As a result, huge delays have hit The Tube and have forced patrons to resort to crowded buses and scarce taxis. Unless something changes, this is just the first of a number of planned strikes, the second of which will come next week.
