Last month, a Reddit user created a new nickname for Kevin Durant. That nickname? "Slim Reaper." And people loved it. KD himself wasn't a big fan of it, though, and said so during a Twitter Q&A with his fans. And it sounds like he's still having a little trouble coming around to the idea of using it.

Earlier this afternoon, Durant was asked to talk more about the nickname. And while he did give props to the creativity behind the name, he said that he doesn't like it because it represents death. So he'd rather just stick with KD for now.

"That name is what it is," he said. "It's cool to have a nickname somebody else gave to you. It's kind of weird if you make you own nickname up. But to have that out there, I guess, is cool. I'm here to shine a bright light. I'm not here to be a guy of, I guess, death. We'll see what happens with that, but I just like KD better."

Sigh. We really wish KD, er, Slim Reaper would embrace this name! If he doesn't look so deeply into it, we think he'll see just how awesome it is.
