What an interesting take.

The 25th anniversary of buying the Dallas Cowboys is supposed to be a wonderful moment for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Instead, it's been clouded by the team's struggles over the past few years.

Jones said that one of his biggest regrets is not having won a Super Bowl with Tony Romo as his quarterback, but places the blame on himself:

None

The Cowboys have won just one playoff game with Romo as quarterback in 2009. They also have missed the playoffs the last four seasons. In the last three seasons, the Cowboys had a chance to reach the postseason by winning the NFC East in the regular season finale but lost every single time.

Obviously, Jerry Jones is going to stick up for his quarterback, but the public knows the deal with Romo's constant failures on the football field. He's clearly a talented player, but the jury is still out on whether Romo can actually take a team to a Super Bowl.
