Coca-Cola and Cheerios aren't alone. Chevrolet has joined the we're-not-going-to-pretend-every-family-is-homogeneous party by airing this commercial featuring a variety of demographics. Families with gay, adoptive, single, and biracial parents are shown as the narrator talks about our changing society. As an extra shot at the bigots, the spot is airing during the Winter Olympics held in the country that's getting as much attention for its homophobia as it is for the event itself.

Eventually these ads will become commonplace and they won't have anything to stick out against. It's encouraging to see companies being unafraid to piss of the people clinging to outdated views and instead giving more consideration to those being discriminated against.
