Don't ever say that Tom Brady isn't tough!

Even though the Patriots had a bye last week—and even though he should have been able to get pleeeeeeenty of rest—Brady is apparently battling a cold right now. Not the flu or something more serious. Just your basic, everyday, run-of-the-mill cold. But up in Boston, there are some people who are freaking out about it because, well, it's Tom Brady! And without him, there's no way the Pats are going to beat the Colts.

Not to worry, though, guys. Despite the cold, Brady is going to live. He showed off his sense of humor a little while ago by expressing that to the media who asked him about his cold.

"I'll live," he said. "I'll be there, hopefully not on the injury report. I'll try to talk my way out of that."

Whew! That was a close call. But don't get too relaxed, Pats fans. He may be able to beat a cold. But Brady doesn't sound convinced that the Pats can beat Indianapolis. Not yet, at least.

"I could still use a few days to get ready," he said. "We're already on a relatively short week. I'll be ready once the game is kicked off. Once that ball is kicked off, I'll be prepared."

So can Brady beat a cold and the Colts in one week? We'll just have to wait and see...
