Earlier today, GQ published a profile on Jay Glazer of FOX Sports. Just in case the name doesn't ring a bell, Glazer is arguably the biggest name when it comes to announcing breaking news first about anything going on in the NFL. When Brett Favre was traded to the New York Jets, he was the first guy to report it. When you heard about the New England Patriots videotaping an opposing team, it was because of Glazer. But, what may be more remarkable about Glazer is that "the information that he makes public represents roughly .001 percent of what he actually knows."
Here's one, um, interesting example. According to Glazer, once upon a time, there was an NFL player who quit football after his teammates caught him masturbating.
"They have, like, a computer room where the guys can go study film. And somebody caught him. Pants right down, going to town. And I guess he caught wind that they were gonna make fun of him, and [snaps his fingers] gone. He quit football. Never went back. Man up, man! It's not like nobody else does it!"
So, there's that. Obviously, there is no mention of who that player is because well...that shit's embarrassing, fam!
