The Mini John Cooper Concept Is Ready for the Track

Concept might as well be in parentheses. The Mini John Cooper Concept is probably going to hit the showrooms and before that happens, we want to take one on the track. Debuted today at the Detroit Auto Show, this Mini is all about performance. While we still haven't gotten the engine specs, there's a lot to rave about body wise. 

Based off the current generation Mini, the concept shaves off weight and improves drastically in its aerodynamics. Large air intakes sit in the spot normally reserved for flood lights. The side skirts are contoured and the rear apron utilizes flaps and a diffuser element to further reduce drag. You'll also notice a roof spoiler to add to the aerodynamic zen
