With the hiring of Charlie Strong, Texas is getting a lot of good things out of the former Louisville head coach. Sadly, one thing they aren't one thing, though. According to Lou Holtz, a man that Strong has coached alongside with Notre Dame in 1995 and South Carolina in 1998, "I found as we went along that his greatest asset was common sense. He's great with players ... but he's not a hip-hop coach. He really, truly could have coached for (Ohio State's old-school taskmaster) Woody Hayes with no problem whatsoever." Um, okay? We never would've suspected that Lou would be able to determine who is and isn't a "hip hop coach," whatever that is. But hey, you learn something new everyday, right?
