J.R. Smith promised he was going to make up for blowing Friday's game. That's bad news to some, because that could be interpreted as, "Damn, he's going to take more shots." Smith was still a little below average though, as he was 3-for-8 in his 7-point game against the Mavericks on Sunday. One of his main highlights of the night included untying Shawn Marion's shoe on a free throw attempt. Didn't really matter that much since the free throw attempt was good and Marion didn't have to fight for the rebound. The main takeaway here is even when Smith isn't screwing up, he's still going to be J.R. Smith. Knicks beat the Mavericks 92-80.
