Hakeem Nicks Probably Won't Be in New York Next Season

The Giants were not happy with him last year.

It would've helped the Giants a little if Hakeem Nicks was a factor during their poor season, although that doesn't let Eli Manning off the hook for leading the league with 27 interceptions (and just 18 touchdowns). But at least it looks like Manning was trying and failing. Nicks struggled with injuries, got fined by New York for missing treatments and meetings (according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport), and finished the season with a quiet 896 yards and no touchdowns. So it's understandable the organization is fine with letting him go next season.

Many Giants players have also been guilty of missing meetings, but it does seem like the right call with all of the issues the offense has had this season—including a No. 19 ranked passing game. Nicks isn't dead weight, but he definitely isn't a buoy either.
