Ford isn't letting the winter stop it from releasing sunny news. The auto manufacturer has been working with SunPower and Georgia Tech to develop a solar-powered car. Their collaboration is called the C-MAX Solar Energi Concept and is expected to be unveiled next week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The C-Max powers itself by capturing energy with a special concentrator similar to a magnifying glass. The concentrator would then direct the rays into a panel on the car's roof. Ford hasn't said how long the C-Max would be able to travel, and it's very well possible we'll never find out. This is, after all, a concept car. Let's hope the C-Max becomes more than that and goes into production.
