Cristiano Ronaldo is the best again.
After finishing second to Lionel Messi in the race for the FIFA Ballon d'Or the last two years, the 28-year-old captain of the Portgual national team just beat out Messi and Franck Ribery to win the Ballon d'Or this year. It's his first time winning the award since 2008.
After seeing some of the things Ronaldo was able to do this year, we would definitely say that the award is well deserved. Wouldn't you?
Here's the Ballon d'Or voting breakdown, courtesy of BBC Sports writer Francis Keogh:
Ballon d'Or vote totals: Ronaldo 1,365 points, Messi 1,205, Ribery 1,127 (votes cast by 184 coaches, 184 national captains, 173 media)— Francis Keogh (@HonestFrank) January 13, 2014
