In sports, when one is assessing the worth of any given player, the topic of conversation often shifts to discussions about their legacy. How will fans remember this player? Will he be regarded as one of the best to ever do it? If so, what moment will we look back to when we talk about him? Michael Jordan had more of these moments than we can recall. Wtih Joe Montana we'll always point to The Catch or The Drive.  However, sometimes fate just happens to pick a player at random for these decisive moments. After all, who could've foreseen former Washington Redskins running back Timmy Smith bull rushing the Denver Broncos for 204 yards and two TDs in Super Bowl XXII? Or how about David Tyree's "Helmet Catch?" Little moments like this that have a huge impact usually hype the player up for more than they were ever worth, so we put together a History of Athletes Who Owe Their Entire Legacy to One Game. Was Joe Namath ever really as good as "The Guarantee" would have you think? Read our thoughts, and then let us know yours in the comment section.
