We hope you're not getting drone-d out yet because Amazon is not alone in developing the controversial technology for deliveries. Google and USPS are both reportedly testing delivery drones. USPS is playing coy and hasn't officially confirmed or denied the reports. From a UPS Statement: "The commercial use of drones is an interesting technology and we’ll continue to evaluate it. UPS invests more in technology than any other company in the delivery business, and we’re always planning for the future."

We can't help but wonder if the USPS is also working on the technology. On one hand, the U.S. government might be reluctant to use drones in another facet, considering how stoked people are about the military's usage of the technology. On the other hand, the government totally has a head start and could use that to their advantage. Going to a third mutant hand, the USPS loses a shit ton of money, so sinking more cash into drones is probably a bad idea. Regardless, Amazon now has competition
