Unless the Cowboys are planning on wheeling him out onto the field on a hospital bed on Sunday night, Tony Romo will not be playing against the Eagles.

Despite the fact that ESPN reported that Romo would not play on Sunday earlier this week, Dallas head coach Jason Garrett held out hope all week long. But earlier this morning, Romo underwent surgery on his injured back and has been ruled out of Sunday's game.

"The procedure happened this morning," Garrett said. "We felt the surgery went well. Tony should be able to come home later today and start his rehabilitation."

That's good news. Unless, of course, you're a Cowboys fan who was hoping and praying that somehow, some way Romo was going to be able to play on Sunday. You guys are just going to have to do the same hoping and praying for Kyle Orton.
