Teen Tweets About Leftovers After Running Over 55-Year-Old

A little heartless, no?

If we ran over an old lady, we imagine the last thing on our minds would be food. But the family of 55-year-old Maria Lucaj was upset to find out that Ashley Viviana Davis tweeted a picture of leftovers after running over their grandmother.

On Thanksgiving eve, Davis, 19, struck Lucaj at a crosswalk in the Bronx while driving a new Ford Focus. Davis stopped after the accident, and police say Lucaj had the right of way, but so far no charges have been filed. The next day, Lucaj was dying in the hospital while Davis tweeted, "All I really need right now is to clear my head and find peace of mind," and then the less remorseful picture of leftovers.

Lucaj's son told the New York Post, "I couldn't believe it. She's posting about leftovers while my mother's brain-dead in the hospital." Davis' Twitter account has since been deleted.
