A police official involved with the investigation into the crash that killed Paul Walker told the Associated Press that speed, and speed alone, was the cause of the accident. Officials haven't determined how fast the Porsche Carrera GT was going, but early reports have it pegged at more than 90 mph.
Earlier reports have theorized that mechanical issues and/or road debris contributed to the accident, but the AP's source denied both explanations. TMZ disputes this and says officials have made no determination and the investigation is ongoing. In the battle of credibility between the AP and TMZ, we'll take AP every day and night. After all, only one of the two publishes headlines like "Hey, That's My Exposed Junk... A Naked Selfie Mystery."
