The Brooklyn Nets will be without veteran forward Paul Pierce for two to four weeks with a broken bone in his right hand. There was never any clear indication where the injury occurred but the Nets said that Pierce was hurt Friday in the first half of a loss at Houston.

The injury definitely is a tough break for the Brooklyn Nets. They've had numerous injuries with Deron Williams missing eight games and Brook Lopez missing seven games. Joe Johnson is the only Nets starter to play in every game this season which is not a good look for the veteran squad. The Nets have lost 10 of their last 13 games with two of the victories coming in the last four games.
