"We’re all right man. Everybody chill the fuck out."

These were the words Adrien Broner (27-1) said in his corner after the second round, where he got knocked down for the first time in his career by Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31 KO). Things weren't all right, however, and never got quite comfortable throughout the fight for Broner.

The previously undefeated Broner didn't look all that impressive in his last fight against Paulie Malignaggi. The Ohio kid took his belt and the girl; Maidana took the win and ruined Broner's record. You read right. In a huge upset, Maidana gave Broner his first professional career loss in a decision victory (115-110, 116-109 and 117-109).

Maidana was on him from the get go with a harsh amount of pressure throughout the opening rounds. Broner never really got quite used to the more awkward nature of Maidana's punches and found himself getting tagged an awful lot more than he has in his career. Now Broner is going to have an excellent time swallowing his words following all the trash talk he's been spewing throughout his career.

Despite the blemish on his record, it looks like Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still supporting Broner He posted the below picture after the fight with a caption saying, "@AdrienBroner hold your head up champ. I love you. A true champion can take a loss and bounce back, my lil brother":

Others weren't as compassionate.

You walked in with an entourage and left with two guards.. Nobody is your friend when you ain't got nothing @AdrienBroner #BronerMaidana
