Seeing another Adrian Peterson performance was probably the only good reason to watch the Lions and Vikings game over all the other playoff-deciding games in both conferences. Now that's gone.

Peterson will not play in the season finale due to a groin injury. This ends his season with 1,266 rushing yards, which is solid, but it's less than half of the 2,500 yards he was gunning for. It wasn't like fans were expecting him to run for 1,234 yards in one game, however. That's ridiculous to do even on Madden.
