The westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike were closed today after an accident and subsequent chain reaction involving up to 50 vehicles. According to ABC Action News 6, a driver left their vehicle and was struck and killed around 12:30 p.m.. The heavy snow caused limited visibility/control and several fender benders were reported following the initial crash. Detours have been set up at various points and authorities are advising drivers to take it slow. Check your local news before heading out in that area.
