You have heard of the 1993 film, The Nightmare Before Christmas, right? Well, tonight, the Brooklyn Nets are going through a nightmare before Thanksgiving against the Los Angeles Lakers.  Even though the Nets are currently staging a bit of a comeback, going into halftime, Brooklyn went down big at the end of the first quarter, 34-18, to the Kobe Bryant-less Lakers at the Barclays Center.

One of the moments that occurred during the Lakers' impressive run in the first half came when Wesley Johnson took a backdoor pass from Steve Blake and finished at the rim over the outstretched arm of Paul Pierce. While it is still too early, maybe the Lakers should wear their Hollywood Nights jersey more often going forward, no?
