We're sure someone out there has been crossing their fingers, hoping for an EV in the form of a pickup truck. The Tesla Gods were listening and Elon Musk said after Business Insider's IGNITION event that a pickup is in the works and that it will be modeled after Ford's F-series. The thought of an electric pickup may seem blasphemous to a lot of pickup drivers who get off on the smell of gas in the morning and just recently accepted EcoBoost as an option, but the shift is inevitable and definitely not a bad thing. Obviously what goes into making the trucks will have to be beefier than what goes into the Tesla Model S, but the tech can't be that different...right? We'll check in five years from now to see what kind of noise they are making with this (probably none at all because it's a Tesla).
