Manny Pacquiao is a busy man. He just got elected to his second term as the Congressman from the Sarangani province in the Philippines, after running unopposed. He also happens to be one of the most iconic boxers—if not the most—of his generation. In fact, no active boxer has sold more live fight tickets in the U.S. than Pacquiao, who is also credited with over 11 million pay-per-view buys in America alone. Clearly, he is the people's fighter.

But as Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed demonstrated before him, once a fighter branches out in life and develops interests other than being in the ring, he leaves the door open for a young warrior to rise up and challenge his dominance. For Pacquiao, that person is Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios, a young, hungry fighter who is gunning for Manny's spot as the number one boxer in the world.

As always, Manny has handled the challenge with modesty and grace. "Brandon Rios is the biggest test out there for me," he recently told reporters, "and I will be ready to meet the challenge." But Rios isn't letting Pacquiao off the hook that easily. "Manny, this is my time," he countered. "Out with the old, in with the new...and I'm the new. I want to retire Manny Pacquiao."

Whoever comes out victorious, one thing is for sure: this is bound to be a spectacular fight.

Pacquiao vs. Rios will be LIVE on Pay-Per-View this Saturday November 23rd at 9 PM EST/6 PM PST. For more info on the fight, be sure to click here.
