ESPN's Peter Gammons Compared Alex Rodriguez to the Boston Marathon Bombers in Radio Interview

Peter Gammons is a well-respected ESPN baseball personality who has been thriving at his job for many, many years. But today, we were reminded that anyone can fall victim to the good 'ol adage of thinking before you speak. While discussing the Alex Rodriguez situation with ESPN Radio’s Mike Lupica, Gammons made a terrible comparison involving A-Rod storming out of the hearings and heading over to spill everything with Mike Francesa. 

“I’ve had people with the Yankees say this to me, he is just — he wants to blow up the world. You know, he’s like the marathon bombers,” he said, according to CBS Boston. “It’s just, he’s going to get them.”

Really? It doesn't matter how Gammons tries to rationalize his argument, it's a ridiculous comparison through and through. There should be an apology coming in 3, 2...
