Dwight Howard Received a Technical During Last Night's Game for Tossing the Ball at a Heckling Fan (Video)

Last night was a Dwightmare nightmare for Dwight Howard. The Houston Rockets were defeated, 123-120, by their in-state rivals, the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs' Vince Carter called out Howard, saying, "You're the biggest crybaby I know." And, in the last few minutes of yesterday's contest, Dwight let one Dallas heckler get the best of him.

Obviously, no one knows what exactly was said to Howard, but whatever it was caused DH to act on impulse and flick the ball in the direction of the guy, which earned Dwight a technical foul. During crunch time with the Rockets up by only five, Howard needed to show a certain level of maturity at that moment. He failed to do so. Sure, it wasn't like dude threw the rock like he was back in grade school playing dodgeball, but it's the fact that he resorted to those measures instead of simply walking away is the issue.

Sometimes, it's just better to let these minor things go, Dwight. Take it from LeBron.
