At 2-6, the Texans will have to try to salvage the season without the services of Arian Foster. The three-time All-Pro rusher will have surgery performed on his back later this week to aid a lumbar spine issue. This will knock him out for the rest of the 2013 season.

The offensive weapon injured his back in the first play of the Texans' game against the Colts and was declared out for today's game against the Cardinals. But now Houston will have to fight for those Ws with Ben Tate now handling Foster's duties for the rest of the season. Tate has averaged 4.3 yards in his limited carries last year.

Foster ends his season with stats that are pedestrian by his standards: 542 yards and one touchdown. How will Houston do with second-year quarterback Case Keenum taking over with head coach Gary Kubiak and Foster out?
